NET CAFÉ TYCOON is a free browser idle game made in Denmark by Oaksmond. It started as a nostalgic love letter to the internet cafés of the late 90s and early 2000s — the CRT glow, the LAN parties, the shouting, the vending-machine chocolate milk — and grew into a deep incremental game through months of building and live testing with a stubborn crew of playtesters.
The design philosophy is simple: no resets, no pay-to-win, honest progression. The café only earns while the game is open, the grind is measured in weeks, and everything you build is permanent. The whole game is a single self-contained page — no downloads, no account required.
Found a bug? Balance feels off? Have an idea for an event or a collectible? We genuinely read everything — half the game's features started as tester suggestions.
Design & development: Oaksmond. Playtesting: the regulars — you know who you are. All artwork is original hand-drawn SVG; all music is generated in the browser.
