NET CAFÉ TYCOON ("the game", "we") is operated by Oaksmond, Denmark. This page explains what data is handled when you use this website and play the game. The short version: your save lives in your own browser, we don't require accounts, and we collect as little as possible.

1. Game saves (local storage)

Your game progress is stored in your browser's localStorage on your own device. It never has to leave your machine. Clearing your browser data deletes the save; the in-game Export button lets you make your own backup. Local storage used for saving your game is strictly necessary for the game to function and does not track you.

2. Online features (leaderboard & unique café names)

If and when online features are enabled, the game stores the following on our database provider (Supabase, hosted in the EU): your chosen café name, your game statistics (score, stars, majors, achievements count, collectibles count, city), and a random technical token generated by your browser that lets only you update your own entry. No email address, no real name, no account and no password is collected. Choose a café name that does not identify you personally if you prefer to stay anonymous. To have a leaderboard entry removed, contact us (below).

3. Cookies & advertising

The game itself sets no cookies. If advertising (Google AdSense) is enabled on this site, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Where required by law (including the EU/EEA and UK), you will first be asked for consent through a consent dialog, and you can choose non-personalised ads or decline. See how Google uses information from partner sites.

Payments

If you buy the optional class unlock, the transaction is handled entirely by our payment provider — we never see or store your card details. Purchase and refund terms are described in our terms of service.

4. Analytics & logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may log basic technical request data (such as IP address and user agent) for security and operations, as is standard for any website. We do not run separate analytics that build profiles of you.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete personal data concerning you. Since game saves live in your own browser, you control those directly. For leaderboard entries, email us and we will delete your entry.

6. Children

The game is suitable for a general audience and collects no personal information beyond what is described above. If ads are enabled, they are served in accordance with Google's policies.
